Complaint Procedure and Contact Information:
Doane University takes student concerns and complaints regarding the conduct of students, faculty and staff seriously. Policies for several specific types of student complaints are laid out in Doane’s Student Complaint Procedure. The In Touch system may be used for any situation not covered by the Student Complaint Procedure.
Confidentiality of Student Records (FERPA):
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly referred to as "FERPA" or the "Buckley Amendment") is designed to protect the confidentiality of students' educational records and to give students access to their records to assure accuracy. The Registrar’s Office provides information on FERPA and handles questions and concerns.

Textbook Information:
Students on all Doane campuses may buy or rent textbooks online through Doane University’s eFollett Bookstore. Doane’s Crete campus bookstore is located in the lower level of Perry Campus Center. Open from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, the bookstore offers students Doane merchandise and apparel, postal services, and basic printing and school supplies.

College Navigator is a free consumer information tool designed to help students, parents, high school counselors, and others search for and obtain information about U.S. postsecondary institutions. While Doane is not yet searchable on College Navigator, it does have a fact sheet available on NCES.

Education Loan Disclosures:
Doane University does not make private education loans to students; however, students may obtain private education loans from a commercial bank or other type of private lender. The Higher Education Opportunity Act conditions the eligibility of educational institutions to participate in Title IV programs on the development of and compliance with a code of conduct which prohibits conflicts of interest for its financial aid personnel. Verification Requirements:
If a student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) was selected for federal verification by the U.S. Department of Education, that student will need to complete a verification form and may need to submit tax information to the Financial Aid Office.
